I think I screamed when I read the title...are you that far in the hole you can't spend $40 for a proper oil change? Lol my mind is blown...I need something to get my mind off this post.

Its like those people who spend 40 to 50 bucks on mobil or royal purple and then want to buy a fram or micro guard filter to put on the same vehicle. Makes me want to jump the counter and smack the crap out of them.

Think about this, why are you changing your oil? Without putting enough miles on it you do build up acids in the oil cause it doesn't get hot enough long enough to remove the water that gets into it and needs to be changed on time, not miles. You only have approximately a 5 quart system and you want to keep almost a quart of the old stuff every time you change your oil? Would you just drain half your oil and put new stuff in to extend your wallet?
