I don't know of any "choke" light on the JK. Are you referring to the Electronic Throttle Control light?

That will illuminate if the throttle plate becomes stuck, and the JK will go into "limp home" mode, restricting rpm and speed.

If the throttle unsticks, everything will return to normal.
Check for remaining codes P2072, P2110, P2118.
P2072 is for an ice-frozen throttle plate. Don't laugh. It can happen above freezing ambient temperatures. (I've had it happen in a Cessna 170 when the ambient temp was in the 70's F.) Anyway, if the plate is stuck, the computer may assume it is for ice.

P2110 is for ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL - FORCED LIMITED RPM

P2118 is for ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL MOTOR CIRCUIT

These are just a few conditions that will turn on the light and create a limp home mode.

Look for codes and post any you find.

Had this happen earlier this year on my drive home from work. Did it clear up when you started it back up? If so, same problem I had....clogged PCV. Stealership replaced it under warranty, and no more problems.

Your throttle control light came on, and the Jeep went into limp-home mode?
