Default Check Engine light P0132

Getting on the expresway the check engine light came on. Did the key on/off 3 time thing and got the Code P0132 which is " (M) 1/1 O2 Sensor shorted to voltage oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above normal operating range."

OK... What is it and is it serious, and how do I get rid of the check engine light ?
Thanks

You're throwing a high voltage alarm for your O2 sensor.

I'd check the sensor plug - a lot of these codes end up being a plugs connector clip got broke somehow.

If that's not it replace the sensor (not that expensive and have typically long lifespans) I'd use a NTK sensor.

If that's not it start checking the wiring for shorts...

Hope this helps a little bit...

Thanks, It did help... got me reading about it more. The wires and connector looked good so I disconnected the battery for awhile to reset the computer and now the check engine light is off and the jeep runs good. Go figure.
