Default Ching Chong sound

So, when cruising in around 2000 rpm in my 07 Rubi, I hit the accelerator and get a ching sound and when I release it, I get a chong sound. It's not loud just annoying. Almost like a bad U-joint sound. The chong sound happens almost everytime I lay off the throttle. My TJ never did it and again, it's not that loud but it's getting annoying. It's happened since new. Any Ideas?

My 08 Ruby does the same thing. It’s almost as if there is a little play in the drive train.

sad eisenjj,

Mine makes the same noise. It didn't start until I had it off-road a few times. Crawl under it and try to move the drive shaft by hand. Mine has a small bit of movement. Has any one else noticed this?
