Start with a new roommate then go to an auto supply house and get a rattle can of touch-up paint. Most shops that sell paint can supply you with a spray can of matching paint. Then it is just a mask and spray job.

Did you want have the door or the roommate fixed? Or both?

I'm not sure the way you describe the damage, but if these are simply scratch line there are a number of rubbing compounds that will fill the scratch and blend the color. Otherwise, touchup paint, though I wouldn't think you'd need a spray can for a chipped area.

Best way to fix this problem is to follow these instructions:

1) Leave roommate's keys on the floor, facing the door.
2) Open the door.
3) Wait for roommate to come and retrieve keys from floor.
4) While roommate is bending over to pick up keys, move behind roommate, so that roommate is between you and open door.
5) Deliver swift kick to roommate's ass, sending roommate out through open door without keys.
6) Close and lock door.
7) Laugh.

Hope that helps!

I would use your roomate to somehow chip the paint off the inside panel of the other door to match... If you have a four door your roomate will be very sore

But it sounds like it just needs a touch up, but use his wallet.
