chirping coming from Left rear
About a year ago I had a guy hit me in the left rear tire. The impact shifted the rear end about 4 inches or so. The body shop refinished the wheel and replaced a bracket or something - and ever since I get a chirping sound coming from the right rear. I've had several shops check it out and they all tell me nothing is wrong. One even told me it was the brakes ... I knew better than that. Brakes wouldn't squeak/chirp if they weren't being applied unless they were making contact.. which they may be, but the sound is not speed related.. it's more of when the suspension moves. For example, I was on some curvy and rough, but paved, mountain roads today and it would chirp chirp, chirp. I think it could be the spring or the angle of the suspension is off just enough to cause a little friction to make the sound.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to diagnose this problem correctly? The body shop gave me a lifetime warranty on their work and the insurance company guaranteed their work too.. They can't find anything wrong upon inspection though.. I need to be able to tell them what is wrong.
