I've used 303 as well as Mothers Back to Black and they both work pretty good, however neither last. I've used Turtle wax ICE and that also works pretty good. Two weeks ago I washed and waxed the wifes JKU and again the fenders and bumpers were a bit faded and had water stains. Tried Meguiar's Ultimate Black, and was quite happy with the results. Still looks great two weeks and 4 rain storms later. Give it a try.

I have an 01 BMW R1150GS motorcycle with the factory black plastic bags. Unfortunately, I do not have a garage so it sits out in the desert sun and the bags are fading. I have used many of the products mentioned here with ok results. The Mothers Back to Black is my latest and I like how it worked. I don't expect it to last very long because nothing does here.

Anyway, I have read that the following is the best because it has a very strong chemical reaction with the plastic. It is also really expensive ($60 a bottle). I might use it someday.

The heat gun idea looks cool, for extreme situations.

I've given up on 303. Run-off stained the clear finish on my wheels.

I'd try this if I could find where it is sold.. Google comes up empty.

In addition to the other products I previously mentioned, I have had very good results with Meguiar's Exterior Trim Detailer Coating. It is an aerosol product. It worked well for a month or so here on an ungaraged vehicle sitting in the blazing sun all summer 110+ heat so it should last a very long time in a normal place.

Wow, I had to do a lot of looking on the Chevy Avalanche site I used to be on and this is all I could come up with for where people are still getting it from. If you live in Canada it sounds like some carquest stores carry it.

I have used Forever Black on the fender flares and bumper ends on my LJ that were badly faded from sun exposure. I used it last March and still looks as good as the day I applied it, even after a lot of sun, rain exposure, and weekly car washes. I especially like that it dries to a matte black and is not glossy.
