cleaning fender flares
i used 303 with a scrubbing pad to get out the mud stains on my flares and returned them to showroom like condition. someone said after a car wash they look like crap but mine does'nt , i wash my baby by hand and always apply a spritz of 303 afterwards. armor all attracts dust and lint and sattelites from outer space , stay away from that...
WHOOO HOOO!!!! thanks for this thread!!! i just took a scrubbing pad and some simple green to my fenders and they look like new LITERALLY!!!! i can't believe that!! i had considered my fenders and bumpers and top a loss due to mud stains but i fixed em all... i had even quit doing as good a job washing the body due to the bad looks of the fenders no matter what but now it looks great! thanks all
Maybe Im doing something wrong with the 303. After I use it it looks great for only a short time. I spray a small amount to a towel and spread it on the flares and top. After it rains or after I wash it, I see streak marks where the water washed it away in some spots and it looks terrrible. Am I putting too much on or maybe not enough? Do I put it on in the sun/shade/cool/hot? I tried it a few times and it just looks terrible after water hits it and washed some of it away..

I've used 303 and had the quickish fade on my plastic parts too. It looked great, but I too saw a noticeable difference after the first rain. I've only used it twice, and after letting the black plastc bits get worse for approaching a year without treating them, I tried back to black at my father's urging. I took pics after to show him, because I was amazed by the differnce. I did no scrubbing. Power washed jeep. I did use a synthetic "shammy" to speed up the drying. I like the gel form better since theere's no overspray. It makes the plastic feel slippery, but it's not greasy. It looked so much better I was inspired enough to give the soft top a good cleaning & treat it to a healthy dose of bestop protectant. It's the best this thing has looked for a long time.

X3 on the Turtle Wax Ice gel.
Used it a week ago and has rained twice and been close to if not hotter than 100 degrees out and they still look great.
I could not believe the difference after I applied it.
