I got the letter. Now when it fails I have drive a bit to get to a good dealership. I didn't know the one five minutes down the road where I bought it wasn't modification friendly. A friend found out the hard way with a flag on his warranty. Big dealers are the worst.

Enter VIN on FCA site. This will tell if your Jeep is subject to the recall regardless of letter. Most likely it is. I had mine changed last year but still have open recall on passenger side inflator.

Thanks.
My letter did not have a reference number either, only my vin #. I would just go to your local dealership since you already have a compromised airbag circuit or illumination of the airbag warning lamp to see if they could make the repairs.

My '07 2 dr failed last summer. Caused the horn to go off spontaneously including 3 am. Replaced under warranty. Got the letter for my '14 4 dr this week. I'll be waiting until a 3 am wake up again...

Mine failed a little over a year ago, fixed it myself as it was not covered at the time. When FCA did the recall on the 09' I filed a claim for reimbursement and got back the cost of the parts.

rec'd a recall notice with parts available a couple weeks ago and scheduled a trip to the dealer to get the shroud done in a couple weeks.

My 07 goes in on Monday to be completed. However, the dealership said 2010 were not covered. I looked up the VIN on FCA web site, sure enough, nothing at all about a clock spring recall. So, I typed in the 07, the recall was there. So, 2010 was the only year they got it right?

I got a recall notice on my 2010 built in February of 2010. So maybe 2010s are a mixed bag.

Got my UK 2007 done last week (never had any issues)
Was told along with clock spring and new shroud, the earlier models get replacement driver air bag also ... would that be correct ?
Must have been some modifying to do as there was a few plastic drill shavings deposited around.
