Default Clunking

This just started maybe 15 minutes ago. Second time today I drove her... first time this has started happening.

I'm getting a clunk from what sounds like the two front wheels. It happens sometimes when I hit bumps and sometimes when I turn the steering wheel hard (like when I'm parking). It just rained like crazy if that might have any effect on it.

Please help. I've got a trail ride next weekend and I don't want to miss it because of some dumb clunking that just started up. I've got a little over 23k on the odometer.

Thanks

Check the torque on your front track bar

x2 on checking the trackbar, but it might also be ball joints. A bunch of owners report needing to replace the ball joints with relatively low miles. A bad ball joint will pop when being turned hard or under a lot of side force.

Check this thread. I thought mine was suspension related at first but then found (thanks to this thread) that it was a bushing that came loose that supported the steering column linkage. Its an easy thing to spot. It made a banging noise when going over bumps and when i turned the wheel. Insconsistent though.

Great. If it's the trackbar I'm going to have to buy a special socket for my torque wrench. It would make sense though. I just had to remove the trackbar in order to install the steering stabilizer relocation kit. I'll check that thread though.
