Clutch not engaging 2 weeks after TSB "fix"
Here's a story for you guys......
I had the squeaky clutch TSB performed a couple of weeks back before the warranty on the clutch ran out. I was kinda reluctant to take it back to the same dealer I bought it from because when I got my first oil changed performed from them the mechanic did not screw back on the oil filler cap but left it on top of the motor. I'm lucky I checked under the hood because the hood was holding the cap in place. The mechanic also did not take the time to simply reset the oil change dummy light. These things were minor, so I thought no big deal, everyone makes mistakes.
After picking it up I thought the clutch felt better than brand new. Then I looked down and noticed that the shifter boot was partially hanging out of the plastic. Obviously the transmission tech had no clue how to remove the boot off of the shifter and used a screwdriver etc to try and pry the boot away from the surrounding plastic. SCARY.
I could not believe it. I ended up taking the boot off and realized that the only way to get the boot back to normal was to separate the the top and bottom pieces from the boot and then glue them back together. Luckily the boot was not cut/punctured and was still salvageable. But while they were separated I figured I might as well paint the trim ring w/ the leftover touch up paint I used on the other dash rings. I painted the ring and had to glue the boot back into place.
It was then that I thought end of story...................NOPE
Yesterday I left work to go to my second job and the clutch felt weird. It felt like I had to push it farther to the floor to engage it and that the pedal sat higher than before. Needless to say, my stomach sank knowing that I would have to take my Jeep back to the dealer soon.
I got out of work, got in the Jeep, and started it. I tried putting it into gear and realized that was not going to happen. So I had it towed to the dealer that performed the clutch work in the first place.
Needless to say today has not been a good day. I had to call off of work in order to get a rental car as the trans tech doesn't work on Fridays.
I'll have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully the tech learned from his mistake(s).
Does anybody have an idea as to what step could have been missed when they installed the new clutch plate to cause my problem?

Just take it back dude, there is a TSB that's been out two weeks now requiring the entire clutch assembly to be replaced due to clutch spring failure. Yours might not be that but could be. Mine had the old TSB throw-out bearing taken care of, started doing the same thing again 11 months later, get it back today and with a brand new clutch system entirely.
...under warranty.

Where can I find this TSB?
