Default Code p0158 - O2 Sensor

I had engine code P0158 - High Voltage in the O2 Sensoer Bank 2 Sensor 2 - the O2 sensor past the converter.

I replaced the O2 Sensor without issue and disconnected the battery to reset the computer. The check engine light came back on with the same code after I drove about 100miles.

Any Ideas? Other causes included lean/rich fuel mixture or low pressure from a fuel pump.

Which of the two post-cat sensors did you replace? (driver's side, left...or passenger's side, right?)

P0158-O2 SENSOR 2/2 CIRCUIT HIGH

  • When Monitored: Continuously with the engine running, no O2 sensor heater DTCs present, 2/2 Oxygen Sensor heater temperature within a specific range, and battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts.
  • Set Condition: The PCM detects that the 2/2 Oxygen Sensor voltage is greater than the maximum acceptable value for a specific amount of time, based on O2 sensor heater temperature. The DTC will set as Pending after one trip and Active after two trips. Three good trips to turn off the MIL.

I replaced the passenger side 02 sensor past the converter.

Can you expand on possible solutions?

O2 sensor 2/2 is the lower one on the driver's (left) side of the vehicle.

Bank 1, with cylinders 1, 3, & 5, is on the right side of the engine.
Bank 2, with cylinders 2, 4, & 6, is on the left side of the engine.
