Default Code P0830

My new 2013 6 speed JKU with 950 miles just had the CEL come on today. I plugged in my reader and it was P0830. I know this is a clutch relay switch code but am curious if anyone else has experienced this.
I will be going to the dealer for a 1,000 mile oil change so well have them take a look at it.

Thanks in advance.

The most common cause is the driver resting their foort on the clutch. If this is not the problem then it is probably the clutch upstop switch. The pedal can sense if you are resting your foot and will throw the light because it thinks the pedal is not going all the way to the up position on its own.

Thanks TNJK. I have read more and believed this could be the issue. I will just have the switch inspected to see if the dealer needs to replace or just reset. I tried to reset the code with my OBD reader and it would not turn the CEL off. The dealer can figure it out...

I am also having the same issue with my 2013 JK 6 speed and I am very happy to know what the cause to this issue may be the fact that I rest my foot on the clutch pedal. I am now going to have to find a different place where I can rest my foot

It's possible to cause clutch wear by resting your foot on the pedal too.
