Code U1412 , brake light, traction control lights, abs light, and esp bas light
Hello everyone,
2010 Jeep JKU. I looked at numerous posts but just wanted to make my own to make this easier. I was wheeling on Sunday and when i left the trail my abs light, traction control light, esp bas light, and e brake light were all on. We scanned it when we got home and we got codes; U1412(implausible vehicle speed signal), C2200(anti lock brake module), and all four speed sensors...Jeep drives just fine, on my way home the speedometer did give out. But after unplugging the battery the speedometer is working just fine again.
I did replace the rear speed sensors last night just to see if the lights would shut off unfortunately they didn’t. I’m in between even changing the front sensors or just going ahead and replacing the whole module. I love throwing money at my Jeep but i dont want to waste time replacing the fronts when it could just be the module. Thoughts? I read previous posts about this but they weren’t 100% similar as far as codes/ lights. Thanks in advance.
Id put a scan tool on it and drive it watching the live data from the speed sensors. Only way to see what's going on. A wheel bearing can cause it. Speed sensor. Anything
My 2008 Rubi did this a couple months ago. Initially I could reset with code reader or disconnecting the battery but then that quit working. I had similar codes, I couldn't get my reader to talk to the ABS module. I took it to a shop and they could not either. The determination is that my ABS module has failed, but there is a nationwide parts shortage until March 2022! Hopefully yours is something else.

Just a heads up, you can have your ABS module rebuilt for a lot less than a new one (if you are out of warranty). I have a 2008 Rubi that was throwing the same lights and codes, I pulled the module and sent it to Upfix in Atlanta. Took about 2 weeks including shipping both ways but it works great now - cleared all the issues. Since its a rebuild you don't have to worry about flashing.
