Default Cold temperature & Pressure Sensers

Is it common when the ambient temperature drops well below freezing that the dash warning from the tire sensors is lit?

Seems like when/if the tires warm up it goes off.

Check the air in your tires. It's probably borderline.

Its normal, especially if the jeep has been sitting for a day or two in temperatures from -15C to -20C. My Sahara Unlimited sat alot last winter because I was given a company truck to drive back and forth to work with, every time I started up the jeep that damn TPMS light came on. Keep a tire pressure gauge and compressor handy if you don't live near a service station. I don't know about Rubi or X stock tires but if you're running the stock Bridgestone Dueler 32's that come on the Sahara keep a close eye on them, I find they lose pressure easily in cold weather.

Add a few psi to keep the TPMS happy. It won't be over serviced when things warm up.

If I remeber right. On my Rubi the TPM come on at 34psi. Somewhere around there anyway. I took my tires down to 35 and after it got cooler the TPM went off. Looked for a flat, but all was fine. Even the tire pressure seemed ok. But I aired up to just a tad over 35psi and it hasn't gone off for a long time now....

Yes, add a couple of lbs. of pressure to them and they will go off. I carry a craftsman aircompressor that fits in the storage area. Cheap on-board air.

My WK is a pain with the TPS. There is one on the spare. The guy who put it back on put the stem toward the roof.. Real nice
