I'm just over 8500 miles now and have done several trips at 500 miles each way and for the holidays did a 2800 mile round trip. Nothing mechanical has gone wrong, seems sound that way. I had my e-brake handle replaced because it had a cosmetic split, but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary at this stage. Now to get it on the big trails and shake things loose :p

Only recommendation I have is whatever you do if you get one, DO NOT get the 3.21 axle ratio. That's the big annoyance so far in ours. Upshift, downshift, upshift, downshift. At least the new 5spd is way smoother shifting than the old 4spd was

Other threads. Maybe I just got super lucky or something..... I wheel it and everything and will not regear.
Doesnt downshift going up big hills at all.
I've heard the manuals were a different story with 3.21's though.

4300 miles with no issues other than the weatherstrip as noted.

1100 miles now.
-Driver seat squeaked from day 1(dealer said they will lube seat)
-Steering pulls slightly to the right when accelerating from day 1(checked tire pressure, all equal).
-You have to slam the doors to not get door ajar alarm(just figured it was air tight submarine capable vehicle!)
-it didn't like the natural spring flowing down the hill side with clay/mud. Stuck and had to be recovered since it was resting on the frame. My buds FJ Cruiser couldn't pull me out so I had to get recovered. It was fun but a learning experience.

Also you have to really slam the doors to get them shut... the first time anyone new gets into my car I have to tell them to re-close their door about 70% of the time.

My 2011 doors are the same way think it has to do with the extra weather stripping the doors have to better protect when driving in water and mud. I only say that because my girlfriends dad has a range river and they are the same way and that's why.
