Condensation on inside of hard top...
Hey Everyone,
First winter with the new jeep/freedom top panel hard top.
We had a pretty bad storm here in MA this weekend dropping a foot of snow. I came out of my place yesterday afternoon to hop in the jeep and noticed that the entire hard top roof was soaked in water.
any idea what may have caused this? my father and i made sure that the freedom panels were COMPLETELY sealed.
any help is welcomed and appreciated!

To me, it seems the jeep seals really tightly with hard top on, here come the mine leaks like crazy guys, so of your getting in with wet feet, have any water on the floor so on, you run the heat and now all that water is in the air inside. Shut the jeep off and if it's cold the moisture in air heads for whatever gets cold the fastest. The hardtop. I I had that when my freedom top was on
Been to the dealer 4x for this problem. They used a tar like black substance to 'fix' it. Do not let them do this, if you utilize the panels in the summer it ends up fusing the gaskets to the roof, which then rips them off. Once they are ripped the dealer is off the hook. I've honestly just resorted to towels, and lots of them. Can't count on the dealers for anything, except a smirk and S#!TTY attitude for all the problems. I LOVE my ride, but have come to the realization that it is fairly expensive to maintain. It's an american icon, but, therein lies the problem. This is my 3rd, and most problematic. It's a shame. Best of luck, but seriously, don't let them 'glue' your panels down.
I have had this as well and as far as I can tell, it's merely condensation that builds inside the vehicle. It's warmer inside the jeep than it is outside and the moisture gathers on the inside top panels due to warm air rinsing, cold air settling, blah blah blah... I could go on and explain the physics of it all but it's like when older windows in homes fog up with the heat and the condensation develops on the inside of the windows... same thing. In my case, the hard top is sealed but every once in a while, I get the droplets forming on the inside of my roof. Hope this helps...
