Default console removal

What tools are required to reach the transfer case shifter to reattach the cable. I'll assume a trim tool to remove the plastic cover and knob on the transfer case shifter. Additionally, whats need to remove the metal cover? Screw driver, torx,or hex?

Thanks Gsw

I just had to remove mine to install new bushing on my cable.

1) Pull off the small trim plate on the center stack at the front of the console.

2) Pull (real hard) the TC knob off

3) Pull the cover off the console - the part with the molded in cup holders .. it is all the clipped in. Console needs to be open to get it compelety off and Parking Brake handle a max up position.

4) Use Torx bit to remove the bolt on each side corner of the console - 4 of them.

5) Remove console.
