Default Coolant Leak, 2008 Wrangler X

Hey, I have only owned my jeep for about a month now and love it but I am new to jeep world... I was looking under the hood and noticed around my air filter box a orange liquid was sitting around the closed box... I know that it is antifreeze but at first i thought maybe a mechanic had added some an spilt a little but its still there after being wiped away I also crawled underneath and can see where some has leaked down... When parked there jsnt any sign of antifreeze on the ground.. I have not had to add any and my levels are showing on the max so if I do have a leak it couldn't be a huge one and my engine gauge doesn't show that I'm running hot... Has anyone had this occur

If someone else works on your Jeep, that may be residue from radiator cap removal. Sometimes coolant will spray out.

I would clean up all residue with some spray brake cleaner, and see if it comes back.

If it comes back in the same way, maybe the cap is not sealing well.

I will try that and see if it comes back thanks for the advise... If it does end up being just the cap would replacing the cap fix the problem?

Wow, I was just dealing with the same issue. I had my JK in the shop last week for a new water pump and I showed this to them. They put a hose clamp on the reserve tank hose coming off the radiator and made sure the radiator cap was on tight. I haven't had any issue but I'm watching under the Jeep, the passengers side where I've seen some leaking which you can see on the black electronic cover housing (last photo).
