Cracked my hardtop today

My neighbor dropped and cracked his. He claimed it on his insurance. He said they didn't question... just paid.

I guess this kinda stuff could happen if some people tried to steal your hardtop but when you came outside to confront / neutralize them they dropped the top and it broke.

Thought about calling my insurance company and claiming as comprehensive. Doesnt hurt to try I guess.

I would go the insurance route. Not sure how it works in the states but I have full coverage as well as 3 years of complete replacement if the jeep gets totalled. I also have accident forgivness because of my stellar driving record! Give your insurance a call and find out, all they can say is no!

Let us know what insurance says... I have a $500 deductible so depending on your deductible and the cost to repair it could be a wash.

You can either goto a boat repair shop or do insurance claim.

Don't worry about "approval" from your insurance company. It is part of your policy. You are just filing a claim. Perception is people have to "tell the insurance company that xxx happened".... not needed. You are filing a claim.
