Crunching/Scrunching when Braking and Turning onto an Incline
Help, jk-forum!
I have a 2010 Wrangler Unlimited Sport Auto w/18,000 miles. The only modification from stock I have made is the Woods steering stabilizer relocation kit which I installed in May 2010. During a trip to the desert in September, I started noticing that whenever I make a turn onto an incline (either direction) and press the brakes, there's a crunching/scrunching sound/feel in the brake pedal area for a moment as the first tire rises onto the incline. The brake pedal also responds differently and seems to push less smoothly for that moment that I hear/feel the crunching/scrunching. This doesn't happen on flat surfaces, only when I'm turning onto an incline and it happens consistently both in the desert and on pavement.
Yesterday I took my Jeep in to the dealership for routine maintenance and mentioned this problem but they said they couldn't replicate it. I'm still concerned that I'm causing long term damage.
Any ideas? Thanks for any help!
