Default Crushed exhaust crossover pipe

My exhaust pipe is crushed - right in front of the transfer case.

Any ideas on the best way to fix it? I haven't taken it anywhere for estimates yet.

Guess there's a new skid plate in my future. LOL

Mine's at least squished in half. Doesn't seem to affect it too much... I *did* have a really worrysome rattle in my exhaust under load at low RPM - like taking off from a stop. Didn't happen when stopped.

Thought is was too much back pressure due to the crushed pipe... turns out there was a rock between the pipe and the transfer case support.

Mine is the same way. Been like that for about 2 years. I didn't see any point in fixing it because it will just get crushed again

ANy harm to running with more back pressure on one side than the other?

I do like the idea of a fixable section until I get the skid plate (could be a while)

I haven't seen any difference. Don't get me wrong, its not completely dented closed. Maybe 1/4 of the diameter in. I always thought it was a bad area to have a cross over. Not sure what the engineers at Chrysler were thinking. You couldn't get it more exposed if you tried.

Here's mine - bottom of the pipe is worse than the top...
