Default Cut down a Dueler...Now what!

Had a stock 18" dueler cut down today and blow big. Had to drive about 10 blocks on rim and flat tire... Hopefully I' didn't bend rim?

Anyway....I changed out tire using all stock jack...took me a second to realize you need to jack from the axle!

Curious and worried about the following....

I retorqued the spare onto the hub with the facotry lug wrench as tight as himanely possible....shops are all closed and I'm supposed to be on the road tomorrow morning for a 80 mile highway drive at 545 am so no chance tonight or tomorrow to check torque settings....will. I be ok? Do I ever need to check it?

Anything else to monitor....

If you weigh more than 100 pounds and you put all your weight on the factory tire iron, the lugs will be close to the proper torque.

Disclaimer: Legally, the correct answer is you MUST have the torque checked by a qualified technician with the proper tools.

Also ideally you should re check your torque after 50-100 miles of driving.

Very good & safe idea. Won't take long to do just make sure they're still tight. Aluminum wheels lugs will come loose.
