Default To cut or flat fenders

Just want some input on what might be better to do on my 2011 jk

Why not cut? If you cut them and you don't like them you haven't wasted any money, then you can but new flat flares if you want later. People aren't getting much money out of their used flares because they fade so easily etc. etc.

Cut cut cut for sure!!! As posted above if you don't like the result you can always blow more cash and buy some.

I was most likely going to cut them. Just a little nervous on doing it. So are the fenders stable when they are cut?

cutting is the way to go. aftermarket tube or flat fenders are way to hard and strong and will survive a hit well but, will do all kinds of body damage. trust me, i have seen it happen time and time again. trimmed factory flares will bend and fold and tear off and do no damage to your body and, more times than not, can be reattached without too much fuss - ask me how i know.

I was in the same boat, so I looked through every page of reds fender trim on this forum and that convinced me to do it! Glad I did it because it is free and looks great.
