I have a 2Dr X Auto. I knew I had the 4.10 Axle Ratio, but couldn't find anything on my window sticker about D44 or D35 in the rear. I know the Rubi's have D44 Front & Rear, but I was hoping that I didn't get a wimpy D35 in the Rear.

Crawled under it tonight (at 3:30 in the morning)...

Low and behold, I have a D44 in the rear. I read that the Auto's didn't have D44's in the rear, some people said they did, some said they didn't. Mine is an April 07 build.

And I don't have a tow package either, just the J-hook off the back below the bumper...

 

I think I heard through the grapevine that (here in Canada at least) the axle's and gears were changed mid year in 2007 so that they met the government expectations for emissions and fuel economy to avoid being taxed.

I slipped one past the goalie too and got the D44 and 4.10's.

 

A few D35's allegedly made it out on early 07's, but I've never seen one. When I was looking for my Jeep last summer I always checked and they all had a D44. It is now standard on all 08's.
