Dark Oil
I've had my new to me 07 JK 6spd w/ 38k miles for a 2 weeks. When I picked up the Jeep the oil was clean and clear in appearance. The JK is a certified Pre owned. Today I checked the dip stick to make sure the oil wasn't low etc and noticed the color of the oil has gotten quite a bit darker since I took delivery. I've put about 500 miles on it since I picked it up. Just wondering if I should be concerned.

Start your own oil/filter change schedule. Keep an eye on consumption.
Keep an eye on the color if you want, but don't put too much importance on it.

Depends what brand and type of oil they put in it before you bought it; as it (the oil) was fresh when and clean when you bought it then they obviously did a pre-sale service & oil change.
Different brands and types oil have different detergent loads in them. Oils with a high detergent load turn black quicker as the detergent is doing it's job; removing deposits from engine parts and suspending them in the oil. If the motor had accumulated deposits in it (due to infrequent oil changes, low quality or low detergent oils, not changing the filter, etc) when the dealer you got it from did their pre-sale oil change and they used a high-detergent oil then these deposits could be what you're seeing in the dark colour of the oil.
Your next few oil changes should tell you if you have a problem; if it continues to turn black quickly then this may indicate excessive blow-by and signal that you could have an issue with the rings (which is not uncommon on the JK as some motors when pulled down have been found to have had their piston rings, both compression and oil expander, installed incorrectly on the pistons at the Mexican factory). High oil consumption, coupled with quickly blackening oil, will tend to confirm this.

Well my Jeep since I got it 21K miles ago has the oil go dark real quick and has done this since I first got it. 20K later and it still runs fine and doesn't burn any noticeable amount of oil yet...
