Default In dash compase problems....

Anyone ever have problems with their in dash compass? Mine is always right unless I'm facing east, then it's wrong cause it says I'm going north west. Anyone know how to recalibrate it?

Mine was a bit off but then I entered the correct zone variance. Its on page 284 of the 2011 jk manual. I could email it to you.

Do you have anything on top of your radio? If you have the daystar dash panel, or something similar, and you put something on top of the radio that will interfer, metal glasses, cell phone, etc. It will throw your compass off because the receiver is located on top of the radio..

You know that could be it. I have one of those non adhesive sticky pads on top of my radio and it's just for my phone. I'll have to check that out and see if any of those ideas work.

I had some issues with my compass being wrong after I installed my JK-Edock. After I did the calibration routine the issues went away. I thought I was gonna have to do without the compass, but I have not had any problems since.

There are multiple posts about compas calibration and it's in the owners manual.

You can try driving around in a circle for a few minutes under 5 miles and hour

Or try the compass calibrations on page 213-214 of the owners manual
