I've got a indicator light on my dash and wondering if anyone can tell me what it means? Its just to the lower right of the speedometer and its a
lightning bolt in parenthesis. It isn't on all the time, but when it does come on it feels like I lose compression. HELP!

is it on solid or flashing?

you feel like you are losing compression because the Engine has been put in "limp" mode by the computer

Electronic Throttle Control warning light. The JK doesn't have a throttle cable it is controlled electronically. If it stays on or flashes while running take it in to get checked out.

 

Thanks for the replies. The light flashes when it comes on, it never stays solid. If I pull over and turn the Jeep off for 30 seconds, it usually fixes the problem.
