can someone give me some advice on the dash top consoles- My daughter wants to get one for her BF's '08 jeep 4 door- one is 29.99 and one is 79.99-in quadratech- let me know if you have one-

The $29 one you're talking about is the Daystar upper dash piece and is possibly the single most common mod item here on the forum. I highly recommend it as it gives you a place for your sunglasses and cellphone. It also looks factory. You can see how stock it looks in this picture here.



One piece of advice that joepile already mentioned is to make sure you put some anti skid matting down. You can get this for about $6 at Lowes or Home Depot in the shelving area and cut to fit. The plastic it's made of is slick and every time you take a corner your phone, glasses, etc will forever be sliding back and forth. The rubber matting completely eliminates that.

No. The front part will slide onto the dash molding while the windshield side part uses two clips from the factory upper dash panel. Basically you slide it on, then press it down. No screws.
