Default Dashboard Rattle Still

Alright, I'm on my last patience level here. I've had the dash apart 4 times, took the hood crowl apart and still can't find this rattle. I can't stand it. Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions.

It wouldn't bother me if it rattled during a big bump, but it rattles driving down a smooth road.

I can't stand it anymore!!!

Thanks for any help.

I had one like that. What I found was that myself or the wife had laid a pen on the dash and it fell behind it. I had to put my windshield down and use a little claw like thing from the auto parts store to get it out.

Don't know if this is your problem, but I do feel your pain. The rattles will drive you nuts and make you not enjoy your ride. Good Luck....

Yep, it is hard to enjoy with a rattle, rattle, rattle. I don't think that is it, but I will check.

Any other ideas?

I have one too. It went away when the weather warmed up. I guess I get 6 months of relief.

Mine seems to go away with warmer or cooler weather too. It seems to happen between 40-55 degrees.

Only a guess here- maybe that sound in the dash is more of a vibration than something loose & rattling. So, when the dash is disassembled everything appears tight & rattle-free. Maybe an insulating-type wrap between various components inside the dash would help absorb some vibration while the Jeep is moving. ?

My rattle was the A/C lines where they go through the firewall. Wedged foam pipe wrap insulaation in there.
