Default Dealer Durashield

How do people feel about the dealer installed Durashield (the spary on pain protectant)? Is it worth the $600.00 plus that they are asking?

Thanks,

BrianH

Not worth $.10. Wax it yourself and spend the remaining $580 on fun mods.

It is a wipe on product and nothing more than a rip off!

Biggest waist of money...

Buy a (Mothers or Meguiar's) claybar kit, Carnuba wax and polish. Do a three stage twice a year and your good to go. In between I us mothers showshine.

Do not buy any of the paint and upholstery protection the dealers offer. The upholstery protection consists of some kid making 8 dollars an hour spraying a 10 dollar can of spray protectant on your seats and charging you 500 dollars

When I sold jeeps in the early 90's the package (rust proofing, paint sealant, undercoating and fabric guard) was affectionaltly called Rust Dust Tar and Feather.

almost pure profit for the dealer and usually a higher commision % for the salesman.
