Default Decal Question

Hey fellas, just waxed the Jeep and got in my JK and flag decals. Any tips on installing? JK is going on the front windshield and the flags up by the hood. Not sure if fresh wax will hinder the adhesiveness. Thanks

Use alcohol wipes on any surfaces incuding glass before putting decals on. Other than that good luck gettin them on straight.

Haha. Thanks brother. I'll keep it to a 6 pack and not a 12 pack prior to install. If they're crooked, they will look straight after a few more. Too hot up here in New Jersey today. Cheers.

Use some soapy water on the back of the decal and on the jeep during install. Use a squeegee to get the water out once it's in the perfect spot

I cleaned surface and sprayed soap n water on hood and was easily able to move the decal around to desired area.
I also sprayed the decal with backing still on with water to help it peel off paper better.

Use tape to make a hinge, flip up, remove backing, spray with soapy water, flip down and squeegee out the bubbles

I like your hinge idea. I eyeballed mine and they came out straight but it was stressful. I love this forum!!

I had mine designed, cut and installed by a graphics place. I couldn't find anything stock that was near what I wanted. This place took a picture of the side of my Jeep, I told him basically what I wanted, (waving flag design, had to fit between the hinges) and he emailed me a couple of proofs. Tweaked it until we agreed on the design. Next day it was printed, and it took about 45 minutes to install.

No way could I find that design or similiar as a stock item.
