Klean Strip makes a product called Sticker Shock. I have used it on several occasions on my company vehicle. IMO it works great

I used the hair dryer as mentioned and bug and tar remover for the sticker residue.

Now, has anyone gotten all the sticker residue off and noticed a shadow of the decals left behind? I didn't have this problem with the stock decals, but I bought a set on here of black/grey sahara ones and when I removed them to put on my AEV ones, there's an outline from them, but it's only visible right after washing, before I dry it. Weird.

I was lucky. Mine was new enough that fingernails and some careful pulling got all the stickers off. A little Mothers polish and the few glue spots were gone.

3M makes a decal removal wheel. It bolts to any drill, and works like a big eraser. Pulls everything off and won't damage paint, unless you're trying to.

I just carefully peeled it off real slow. Then I took a little wax and cleaned it up so you cannot see the outlines.

i had this. i wiped the area down well w/Goo Gone and then just washed the area w/mild soap / water and the 'shadow' was gonzo. wash the area until it disappears.

i once had a paint ball business and had over 50 splats on my 95 neon
i would let it sit in the sun let them soften up and pull them off then use glue gone to remove residue

then a trucker came over and told me that they use easy off oven cleaner on vinyl letters on trucks

i was skeptical but i tried it and it worked great no paint issues and it softened the stickers and goo very well to come off even in the falls cooler weather

Default Thanks Thanks Thanks!

These posts gave me the courage to tackle the X decals on my "X". I thought they were painted on. Then I got brave and took the stupid Danger Danger decals off the visors and then took out the stupid dealer tag on my tailgate. Now it feels more like I own my jeep!

I waited for a hot day in southern New Mexico

Then used a heat gun just to make sure and some "Goof Off" similar to "Goo Gone" to clean up the little bit of sticky stuff left behind.

Some Daystar hood wranglers and some grease on the intermediate steering shaft should finish up my mod program.

X decal removal: a warm jeep in the sun, finger nail and lightly cleaned up with rubbing alcohol worked just fine.

I used a plastic putty knife (I have very short finger nails), a product called `Goof-off`, a rag, and some patience. I pulled off the following:

-Wrangler
-Unlimited
-Jeep
-Trail rated
-A god-awful white dealer logo
-A cheesy dealer logo on the rear window (why do they need two??)

I didn`t need any heat, just worked at each decal bit by bit. I then went over the area with the `Goof-off`and a rag.

This leaves me with just the `Rubicon`decals.
