Dee dee dee!!!
Okay, I had a Carlos Mencia "dee dee dee!!!" moment today, and I know I'm gonna get shredded for this, so go ahead...clown away! I just want to make sure my Jeep is going to be okay, and if that necessitates a little public ridicule, so be it!
So I'm driving in the valley today, chewing some Stride gum and having a fine, old time listening to the "Best of Jason Ellis" on Sirius 28 Faction, when I decide to blow a bubble...well, apparently I didn't have enough clamping force on the gum, because the gum shot out of my mouth, bounced off the windshield, and went down that little micro-crevice between the windshield and the front dash. I tried to feel around for the wad (go ahead and insert dirty joke of your choice here), to no avail.
My question: any vital components back there the gum might have hit? I don't want to have to tear the whole, freakin' dash off to go back there. I just don't want it melting in the summer and messing up any electronics or wires. Anybody who knows the guts of the JK behind the dash...your input would be GREATLY appreciated! And yes...I DO feel like a tool, thank you very much.

P.S. - Oh well, at least I got rid of the gum before the Stride Mountain Goat came and sacked me in the stomach.

I knew a guy that used to have a YJ and lost his lighter back there and it wedged in the wiper motor or linkage somehow and made his windshield wipers quit. When he put the windshield down to get to the motor thinking he had a bad motor it was just the lighter. He removed the lighter and wipers started working fine. Doubt the gum will stop them from working and I don't even know if the JK's still have any part of the wiper motor or linkage back there but if so they may gum it up over time (no pun intended)!!
