i'll try the dimming technique after work and see if it stays cool. thanks for the logical answer.

I hear ya about being scary with your baby in the back... If it freaks you out, have it checked.

Just be ready for the dealer to charge you extra for factory installed heated Dials and Knobs!! Part of the cold weather package you didn't know you even had!!

its definitely hot not warm. but at least i see that someone else has it to. ... Could be a new option

Up here it's friggin cold so the dials are generally warm...but not 'hot'. Either way haven't had a problem. Price you pay for having a heater that can melt rubber, I guess :p

Mine does it too, more so when the heat is cranked. I just assume it's from the hellfire projectors we call the heater vents.

Love them! Top and doors off in 40 degrees? No problem.. just affix your sleeve to the hellfire projector and warm your core in 3 seconds or less!
