Diesel sound when accelerating?

Default Diesel sound when accelerating?

When I acceelerate I get this " school bus " sound. kind of like a diesel truck. It's not real bad, but strange. Any ideas ?

Probably an exhaust leak, which would sound something like that. Several people here have reported an exhaust leak at the manifold, something to do with the manifold bolts or the flange bolts. Do a search for "exhaust leak" (or maybe "manifold leak") and you'll find several threads describing this.

i had the same problem the bolt and nut from my header attaching to the exhaust pipe fell off. the dealership didnt sound all that suprised when i told them. after like $3.00 in parts and about 2 mins it fixed the problem. id check your header.
