So, Im pricing out Jeeps, and noticed this and was just curious as to the difference. My 2 main contenders are the X model with the S package, or a Sahara. I know the Sahara has leather steering wheel cover, 18s, side steps and painted fenders, but noticed it has a "Premium Instrument Cluster" and the X just has an "Instrument Cluster". What is the difference between the 2?

Also, any other things different between the X (w/ S Package) and the Sahara that I didnt mention above?

I can get the X for $24955 sticker, and the Sahara is $27400, so Im leaning towards the X, but wanted to make sure it wasnt missing something Id want.

Oh, lastly, if the X has a hard top, does its windows not come tinted stock?

I believe that the "premi" cluster adds the temp/dte/gas milage led.

 

I'm really happy with my Jeep, but if I had to choose something I really was disappointed in it would be the lack of gauges in the cluster.

 

Ive found one just like Id like to have so I just wanted to make sure beforehand.

Any idea on the tint on the hardtop? Not that it matters as I can just have it tinted, but I was just curious.

 

The S package on the X adds theleather wrapped steering wheel and the Compass/temp/dte/milage to the cluster, the cluster is all black and the Sahara gets a trim color I believe. The Sahara will also have the YES essentials seat fabric, fog lights, tow hooks and the Infinity sound system. The hard top on the X comes with a really light tint on the windows.

Get the X, if your on this board, your gonna modify it anyway. $2500 will go a long way in mods for what your gettin in mods from the dealer. First of all if your planning on lifting it , $250-$350 for a Budget Boost of your choice, Body Lift $130-$150, Seat covers( cover the YES fabric anyway) $300-$600. Sunbonnet or Safarie Top $300, Airaid or CAI $225-$300, new muffler $70-$200, grab handles $15-$40, and you still haven't hit $2500, just my 2cents to let you know why I gotta X. I knew I was gonna mod and went the cheaper route. But hey if you wanna spend it for a couple extras that you really want and don't mod it , Go for it, but like I said , if your on this board, CUT UP YOUR CREDIT CARDS and never return, or your gonna mod it. Damn that WOL!!!

 

Oh yeah , JK stickers, $4 a piece, Almost forgot, those are pretty much mandatory IMO
