In 85 I had a compression burst of one and fractured another. Fused T11 & 12 & L1 & 2. At least the bars came out after a year. A couple of motorcycle crashes later did not help. I miss my Explorer Limited seats....

I am glad I can walk but painkillers are a nuisance.

The seat is too narrow for my wide ass too. It's comfortable enough though. My brother and I took a 3 hour haul down to the coast and I didn't suffer any discomfort.

What year Grand Cherokee is that?

Better living through chemistry. If it weren't for the painkillers I'd have shot myself two years ago. I detect a trend developing here.........you, me and Rupe all have motorcycles as a major factor in our fusion issues.......hmmmm.

Trim shop said they added about 4" of padding to the seatback to fill the void between the stock padding and the spring/wire that supports the seat. I can't remember how much they added to the bottom cushion.

I can post pics of the arm rest tho... I'll do it over the weekend and post once taken.
Thanks for the info..........I'm going to try to find somebody local to do this work. Just wondering though how they managed to get four inches of additional foam under the stock seatcover?

Hey, that's what he said... Seems like a lot to me too, but who knows. It is a bunch more comfortable, and I don't really care how he did it... only that it works.

We have the JK X, with the cloth seats, and I know what you're talking about with the headrests. Man those things are hard. The seats themselves are not bad.
A set of Wet Okole's make a great difference. The Okole's are somewhat pricey, however well worth the cost IMO. The seats are much more comfortable and the headrest is now nice and soft.

Amazing how that works. Also left shoulder was done in Jan and right is to be fixed next year. I stopped riding 2 wheels and miss it. At least my JK is more comfortable than the 05 Unlimited I had.
