Default Differential Fluid for a Sport 2009 JK

Howdy,
Can anyone tell me what gear oil I should use for my differentials? I have a 2009 2DR Sport JK and I've heard that most people are using 75W-90 or 75W-140. But then I read my owners manual and it says SAE 80W-90. Very confused. I live in a hot climate (Houston Texas) and use my Jeep mostly for daily driving but also go one off roading trips with groups about twice or three times out of the year.
Thanks,
-Andrew

Use what the manual says. If you cant find the exact numbers, close is still OK. (Can't find 80W-90? 75W-90 is fine.)

The 75W-140 synthetic is for the rear axle if you tow a trailer.

Default Fluid selection

I'm getting ready to do fluids in the transfer case and both axles. Why would the front and rear take different fluids? I'm assuming 75w/140 synthetic in both would be a good move. Comments?

You would use the 75w-140 in the rear for towing because that diff is going to be under load when in 2 wheel drive. Me personally I would use what your owners manual calls for it's written in there for a reason.
