difficulty with toe-heel downshift
I used to have a civic manual and I can do heel-toe downshift
very easily. With my JK, the brake pedal and accelerator pedal is kind of too far a war vertically (not horizontally). So it is kind of hard for my right foot to control both of them at the same time. I saw some sites provide throttle pedal extension, this can bring the throtlle and brake peal at the same level. is it worth trying? |
Sounds like you're trying to drive your JK like a stock car, which it definitley isnt. These things dont shift nearly as smooth as most rice rockets errr... civics do. I wouldnt bother messing with your pedals or anything man, the jeep is what it is.

again?! WTH is up with the newbie posting how they want to drive their JK like a race car. Dude there is no reason to EVER EVER EVER heel/toe shift your JK. If your taking corners that fast, slow the F*** down

Awesome...

Meh, learn to drive without a clutch then you can break and accelerate into the corners to your hearts content. Just make sure that you are wearing a skidplate on your head for when Newton's Law decides to teach you a lesson.

This is another one. From the land of rice, this jeep ant. You drive it like a dump truck. If you want to drive it like you stole it its up to you but make sure your insurance is paied up. I am toyota fan but I know you have to adapt your style to fit the car, in this case the jeep. You want to adapt the car to you. This wont work. If you insist on doing it make sure you write call 911 upside down on the windsheild or rear bumper.

Yeah, heel-toe shifting a JK is just a waste. Not going to see any real gain from it.

Ok time for my standard stupid question. What is heel-toe shifting?
