Dilemma which model
So i'll be trading in my '10 for a '12 this spring and i'm having a hard time deciding which model to get.
Right off the bat i'll be upgrading my rims and tires so lets take that into consideration.
The sport S model is $2400.00 more expensive and comes with the following
deep tint sunscreen windows
power heated mirrors
remote keyless entry
power windows
poor doors
17" rims and tires
security alarm
I'm not strapped for cash but if I can save some money why not right? From those who have experience with the 4 door am I going to be kicking myself for not having power windows? Security alarm, lets be real it's a jeep haha if someone wants in they'll use a butter knife and go through the soft top.
I know in the end this is my choice but I was just looking for some other opinions on the topic.

I used to have a 2000 TJ soft top with half doors. I had someone cut my driver side window to steal my cd player. I just bought a 2012 4 door sport bare bones c package. The only option I got was a hard top.
Would power windows and locks have been nice? Yes. Am I happier than a pig in shit with my full doors and roller windows? Absolutely. If you're coming from a car or truck with power doors and windows you'll miss it.
But for me I don't miss what I never had. The only thing I wish I had gotten was the 3.73's.
Oh and I had my windows tinted to 15% professionally for $175 with a lifetime guarantee against fade out.

really depends on what type of driving/how are you going to use your jeep. U want a nice comfortable DD w/ bells n whistles n heated seats or u gonna build it up to a trail monster or something in between?
You might also want to consider joining Tread Lightly. If purchase a 3-year membership ($60), you can get your Jeep at 1% below invoice (not MSRP). There's a fair number of other groups that offer similar deals with Chrysler, so you might want to check with any you may already be a member of.
I had an '08 w/out power windows and missed the convenience of having one. Sold my JK and placed an order for a '12 JKU Rubi with all the bells & whistles. It's good to know that it can handle the trails, have that mean looking exterior but with all the comforts in the interior and will still always be a JEEP !!!!!
