Default ding no light or code

I'm getting random ding sound on my 2009 JKU while driving but I have no light coming up, no code and nothing on the text display.
I current have no tpms installed but when I get ding the tpms light does not flash, to my knowledge the tpms ding should also trigger a blinking of the associated icon ?

Any idea what can trigger my random ding sound?

That's the "mystery ding". It's been around as long as the JK.

I get it once in a while. When I happen to be glancing at the instrument panel when it dings, I get the briefest of glimpses of a light just going out in the lower area between the speedo and tach. I don't get a good enough look to identify the light. Most of the time it's out before I can look down at the panel.

It may be your gascap getting old or a small leak in your evap system that's not big enough to generate a code. (You're supposed to get a GASCAP caution, but it doesn't always show up right away) It will probably pop a code in a couple hundred miles or so. My Jeep did this when a small plastic line broke off of the fuel tank sending unit. A little plastic weld sealed up the leak and it hasn't come back yet. An easy way to check is to check the o-ring on the gascap and crawl under your Jeep and check all the lines for cracks.

This is being goings-on for a while and no code. I did have the small leak code 2 years ago, maybe I should revise my fix
Wonder why there is no logs of such events that can be retrieved

My 2013 10a did it on the highway the other day and I realized that it was because I had put the flasher on to merge to the left lane on a heavy rain highway on a long stretch to pass slower vehicles and it dinged to let me know my flasher was left on. I tried it again and it did it again.

Mine does this with the light flickering, so quick I cannot identify. No ding though or codes. If I have the cruise on it will kick the tranny out of overdrive for just a second, so in my case there is actually an effect.

Only happens a few times a year, figured it was a gremlin from the AEV programming in the computer.

Or maybe just a Jeep thing.

That happens with a number of JK's and most times it's*linked to going off prior to getting the actual oil change message. Re-set the oil change indicator if you don't follow that anyway and the ding should stop.

Haven't heard of that link.
I know it's not related to the timing of the oil change indicator on mine.

Default 20 minutes

For 2 years my 08 JKU would ding at the 20 minutes of driving mark and last for a few seconds. Happened every day, twice a day for 2 years and then went away. I still get a ding that goes 1 minute or so when coasting down a long highway off ramp. And then one day I had a ding that went on for 5 minutes straight.

No codes thrown. These Jeeps are weird....

I have an '09 2dr. Usually happens in the same spot of my trip to work in the morning. From what I've researched it has been said that it's a transmission overheating warning. Fat lotta good it does if there is nothing but a ding. Your guess is as good as mine. Happens to me every 4-6 months.
