Default Disarming the 2012 JKU Seatbelt alarm

Has anyone had to disarm the Seatbelt alarm on their JK?

I would like to know how to do this.

First get in jeep put seatbelt on, then turn ignition to the on posistion, it's the closest one without cranking motor. Seatbelt light will be on in the dash cluster, wait till it turns off. As soon as it turns off, eject and reinsert the seatbelt five full times in succession. The last time leave the belt inserted. Turn ignition off, take belt off. The chime should now be disabled. Worked like a charm in my 2011 mojave. Good luck. FYI, that info is not in my manual. Nor the steering wheel dance.

Pretty awesome chrysler even made it possible to disable. This is one of the things I HATE about cars made in the past ~10 years. My gf's fuckin Jetta dings even if you're sitting in park without it on and the engine is running. Honestly, who doesn't have their belt on because they just forgot?

Thanks for the info.
The wife will be pleased, when she "pops" out for a 2 min drive to the store.
I do wear it all the time. She prefers not to.....Rebel.
That's why I love her..... She stands against the establishment.

Go to the junkyard and cut off the male end of the seatbelt. Insert it into the female end and done.
