Default Does TPMS from a 2012 fit a 2014 wheel?

Does TPMS from a 2012 fit a 2014 wheel? If I understand correctly, the sensor is different between a 2012 and a 2014, but do you know if the sensor from a 2012 can be mounted on a 2014 wheel?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Paul

Look up the OEM part numbers and see if you get a match.

The OEM part numbers will be different because the frequencies are different. But here's a pic of my 2014 oem sensors and you can compare the size shape to your 2012 because I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't fit.

The sensor can be mounted in either wheel.
The problem is that a 2012 Jeep system will NOT see and/or read a 2014 sensor.
Jeep changed the part in 2013. 2012 is a different part number than one for a 2013 & 2014.

It sounds like you're wanting to put a '14 wheel on your '12. If that's the case, you should be able to just swap your sensors over, or get new compatible sensors. Or delete them and get a procal to shut the light off, lol.

The valve stem hole where the TPMS integrated valve stem mounts is an industry standard diameter. Doesn't matter which wheel you look at for your Jeep, that dimension is going to be the same. The difference is in the TPMS frequency/functionality, which varies across the model years. You're on the right track, match the TPMS to the vehicle requirement, the wheels do not matter.

Just buy new sensors. You'll spend less on new ones than you will paying to have them moved from one wheel to another.
