Doh!
So I figured I would check out the jeep today. Been wheelin pretty hard lately.
Started at the front diff.
Noticed gear oil on the housing and also on the driverside trailing arm.
After further inspection I found the oil on the
trailing arm was coming from the vent hose. I pulled the "fill" plug on the diff
and I got about a quart of BLACK-TAR like gear oil. Didn't see any water. Also pulled the hose off and cleaned it out.
Heading up to Advance for some gear oil.
Has anyone elses gear oil looked like this.
By the way, everything else checked out good.

Well, I didn't get to check the oil yet, but yesterday I did notice a wet front diff and trailing arm, although the diff is only wet on top. HMMMN...
Anyway, the only wheeling I've done is a bit on sand and a few logging roads. Nothing crazy.
