Default Door Button.

Hey all, was wondering if anyone ran into this problem. The outside door button on my passenger door is sticking and not allowing the door to be opened from the out side and now I cant get the door latch and stay closed. It seems like the button is not fully releasing and allowing the latch to fully engage. I removed the plug on the inside and sprayed some wd-40 in the hoping it would pop, but nothing. Being that it was 4:30 in the morning and had to get to work I just jumped on my motorcycle and left the jeep home. Hoping to fix it when I get back. Any thoughts?

My passenger side rear door soes the same thing somtimes. The button is also very noisy when you press it. I think mud and crude has worked its way into the mechanism. Usually a good shot of WD40 does the trick for me. Not sure what else you could do other than to try and take it apart.

It's possible that something has come loose in the linkage from the door handle to the latch. You might pull the door trim panel and look inside and see if anything has come loose.

Or, just take it to the dealer and let them do this.
