Door fitment
I found a great deal on some tube doors and a door stand on market place. The owner and I don’t speak the same language. I am having trouble determining if the doors are for a Jeep JKU or a JLU. Are there some measurements or something that I can use to determine what they fit? Thanks for any advice
If you're just using electronic communication on Marketplace, why not just use a translator to send them a message in their language and ask what year jeep they previously used the doors on?
I did and they do not know. I think it's the wife selling and the husband is not there anymore (or the Jeep) There must be some measurements that I could use to tell. Like the hinges are closer on one than the other or the door is wider than the other?
I got a buddy with a 392. I asked him to measure distance between the door bracket hinges. they appear to be the same as the JK coming in at about 12 1/4" apart....so that is not going to be a good determination.
You can use measurements and fit clues to tell what they’ll fit, because JKU and JLU doors aren’t interchangeable, JL doors are slightly wider since the JL body is wider than the JK. also, The JL added a door check strap that the JK didn't have, so JL tube doors will have an extra hole/tab on the hinge side for it.👌
good luck!
