Default Door Help Please

I hope someone can assist with my questions.

I have a stone white 2008 Wrangler X JK with 1/2 doors (obviously manual locks/plastic windows)

I am trading for full doors with power locks and windows from a stone white 2008 Rubi.

Q - Will they fit?

Q - what is needed to hook up the power parts? In terms of electric stuff. Do I need a certain wire harness or something?

Q - any idea on cost of such harness?

Thanks,

USA

yes they will fit and yes, you will need to get the wiring harness for the power locks/windows. you will also need to get the dash panel and switches.

Default Doors

Are the window/lock switches not on the doors? They are on the dash panel?

Doors are coming off a 2008 Rubi.....

Thanks,

USA

You could still get the doors and put them on but, locking will be an issue
Actually, the windows will be an issue, but the doors can be locked manually if there is no power to them.

You wouldn't have those issues if you'd traded with me.

FYI ...

The power locks and WIndows are 100% controlled by the CANBUS and ECM. You would probably need to install the entire body harness and have the Dealer Flash your ECM for the Power Door and Window option to get it to work. Odds are that it can't be done .... Personally I would wait until you found manual doors. You won't even be able to plug the new doors into your harness because the connectors are completely different as well.

Suggest you trade with "mk" Louisiana isn't that far and you won't need all that power crap.

With a little bit of electrical wiring you could get them to work and it would be relatively easy if you just wired in your own switches ( and harness ). If you try to wire them in the same way as stock I believe it will be pretty difficult.

Looks like you have a 4-door ...

I added Power Locks to my Half Doors. they use Reverse Polarity to unlock/lock.

So to control each door lock you need two relays. Total 8 relays for the locks. and 4 switches.

I assume the Windows work the same way so that's another 8 relays and 4 switches.

Finding a place to mount the switches ... you can't use the factory CANBUS switches - and a place to hide 16 relays and all the wiring is gonna suck.

I would hold off for manual doors - they will slide right in, connect to the factory harness and your done ....
