Door Limiter Strap
I have gone through several door straps in my time. They all kinda suck. The problem usually comes down to stitching. I have a sewing machine so on the last set I added a ton more stitches so failure will not be the stitching separating! I am not so concerned about the wiring loom being covered up myself, but there are ones that have a zipper for ease of install getting the loom in there.
Find some straps you don't use such as from sporting bags, backpacks or holddown straps. I saw that my door strap was wearing out so I got some strap and just over layered it and sew it in place. You'll need needle nose to push the needle thru and pull it out. Takes a while, but once you're done you won't regret it.
Cut the stock ones off. Most aftermarket have either a zipper or velcro to hide the wiring. It's a wear item on a Jeep, so expect to replace every several years or so. Aftermarket also let the door open further, which is a plus in my opinion.
