The stereo in the wife's JK with all the doors off stays on for +5 minutes as well the digital read-outs (outside temp/compass & odometer) stay lit as well. Not sure if you can program a shorter shut-off time????

And remember- MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY BEFORE YOU RELEASE THE LIMIT STRAP. IT WILL TAKE OFF ON YOU! I now have the dreaded mirror ding on my driver's side. Keep in mind, this was after reading about it on this forum some time ago. So, I was thinking about it. I wanted to make sure the door of the house was open. turned away for about all of literally 2 seconds and heard a distinct little thud. DOAH!

You are my hero for the jack idea. I was having a heck of a time getting mine off and nobody was around to help my hulking frame get them off. Thanks!

Skimmed the thread and didn't see this tip: Put door edge molding on the bottom of your doors and you can sit them anywhere.

a shot of wd-40 will help loosen up the bolts to get the door off

I tried the wd-40 and all the wiggling and pulling that I could handle and got no results.

Where did you stick the jack?
